Like I have mentioned before, over the past couple of weeks the library was in the process of being transformed into China! This morning, it was Room 8's turn to take a flight over for a tour and some fun. I took a TON of pictures. (I won't post all of them, I promise. Maybe.)
Boarding the aircraft and preparing for our flight to China!
We have liftoff!
Landing safely in China and preparing to exit the plane
Entering China! (Wish I could have gotten in there first to take a picture of their reactions.)
Taking it all in
All the bookshelves were covered with paper and canvas. The library was unrecognizable!
The Tea Room
Tea anyone?
The kiddos getting a "tour of China" to see how all the centers were set up
Checking out all the artwork
The Tea Room
The Great Wall of China painted on a bookshelf!
The three-dimensional Great Wall of China!
Kiddos making paper envelopes for their gold coins
Practicing chopsticks by picking up cotton balls
Tea for three!
Having fun in the Tea Room
Checking out the pagoda (There was a little water fountain inside!)
Crafting some pandas
Yun-Qi, the Donkey (an Asa Adams Passport Project tradition - he has a new name for each year depending on the country)
"It's a Samurai panda."
Tea for two with the "Emperor of China"
Learning about our Chinese Zodiacs
Making Chinese lanterns! "To light our way back home since we were working late in the tea room."
This is so cute and neat. I love the picture of them flying to China. What a cool day at school!
